Lightest Notebook Nomputer

With technology advancing rapidly notebooks are getting lighter & lighter.

When it comes to searching for the lightest notebook computer you will find many brands and variations of notebooks from those that are light for there capability and functionality to those that are clearly designed to be light and thin for the consumer.

In this article I will cover the lightest notebook computers available in the market today .  These areas include the netbook or small laptop as considered by many and your standard lightest notebook computer with fully fledged features, they are technically the same thing just known differently to geeks like me :-)

Lightest Notebook computers 2009 Worldwide

Lenovo IdeaPad Y650 - Price Range - $700 - $1200

Lenovo is considered in the top 4 worldwide for notebook manufacturers.  This model of notebook is your standard 16 inch and weighs in at 5.8lb.  Not only is this model of laptop one of the lightest notebook computer on the market but is also one of the thinnest.

Toshiba R500 Range - Price range - $2,500 - $4000

This particular laptop comes with a 12.1 inch screen and flash memory as it is so small, this model has been classified as a notebook as features are comparable to your standard laptop.  This weighs in at an amazing 999 grams!

Sony X Series - Price Range - $1700 - $2200

This notebook is considered the lightest notebook/netbook computer to have ever hit the market for time being.  Their range boast an 11.1 inch screen as just like the toshiba range of notebooks come with flash memory instead of your standard hardrive to keep weight down.

Dell latitude Z - Price range - $1800 - $2000

This is probably the only 100% classified fully fledged notebook with a 16 inch screen that is not only light but stylish too. If we were to recommend the lightest notebook computer on the market then Dell's offering would be one of them.

Those are as of 2009 the lightest notebooks/netbooks on the market available today.  Remember technology advances so fast then within weeks this list could look completely different from what it is now.  As known, someone's definition of lightness is determined by that persons specific requirements and preference, and these are our personal views and opinions.
